February 20, 2025 Nature Walk

It was a beautiful (but freezing) evening to take a hike around Lake Ray Roberts to try and get some wildlife shots. I was NOT dressed appropriately for 25 degrees but I managed to get a few photos of some wildlife and the sunset! The cameras I used were the Sony A1ii with the Sony 200-600mm lens and the Sony A7RV with the Sony 24-70mm f2.8 GM II. I know where a family of beavers live now so I’ll be returning soon on a warmer day!

The Best of the West Bull Sale would be going on the next day so I went to see all the sale lots. I figured what better time to get some more photos! I took a visit to the Stockyards after to get the Sony A1 ii out for some shots. Scroll through all the photos, hope you enjoy!

I really enjoyed the camera’s improved IBIS (In Body Image Stabilization), I managed to get most of photos using a shutter speed between 1/30th and 1/100th without any issue of motion blur!
